Weekend Wandering: Arrington Vineyards
If you know me or have been following arrington vineyards Blonde Voyage Nashville for any amount of time, it’s no secret that I LOVE wine. Aside from my weekly wine reviews (TJ Tuesdays), I have total geek-out moments when I open my World Atlas of Wine and learn about a new wine-producing region or a grape varietal that I am unfamiliar with. Given my passion for wine, I travel to Napa Valley and surrounding areas at least once or twice a year to explore new vineyards and revisit some old favorites. Even though the airlines are taking the utmost precautions, I’m just not ready to fly.
Since I’m not going to get my Napa fix in anytime soon, I decided to find the next best thing, Arrington Vineyards.
WHERE IS ARRINGTON VINEYARDS LOCATED?
Arrington Vineyards is located approximately 30 miles south of downtown Nashville.
DO I NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR A TASTING OUR TOUR?
All bar tastings, picnic flights, and picnic seating are on a first-come-first-served basis. Winery tours are available Monday through Friday based on availability and production schedule. Once you arrive on the property, inquire at the host stand about tour availability.
Arrington’s hours of operations are:
Monday – Saturday: 11:00am – 8:00 pm
Sunday: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
We arrived around 11:30 am on Saturday, and there were ample picnic tables available. However, if you have a large group or prefer a specific location, I’d arrive promptly at 11:00 am.
IS ARRINGTON FAMILY-FRIENDLY?
While we were there, I saw a handful of children roaming about the property with their parents. Keep in mind this is a vineyard, not a park. It’s not appropriate to let children roam unsupervised or throw various sports balls around. Lastly, all guests must be 21 or over to be at the various tasting bars throughout the property.
ARE FOOD AND WINE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?
This is an excellent question. Yes! Wine is available for purchase, even on Sundays. They are kind enough to open the bottles for you, or you can grab a few for your cooler and enjoy them at your leisure.
While there’s not a restaurant on-site, Arrington has food trucks every Friday and they sell an assortment of snacks (crackers, olives, gourmet cheese, etc.)
During my visit, we packed a picnic and brought an assortment of dips, veggies, and meats. I’d also recommend bringing glasses. Trust me, you will want the larger pour 🙂 While picnics tables are available, it’s always nice to have a picnic blanket available, just in case.
We all know that Nashville summers can be a little unbearable, make sure you bring ice and lots of it!
ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL EVENTS TAKING PLACE AT THE VINEYARD?
Yes, Arrington Vineyards hosts an assortment of events. From Jazz on the Deck, Cigar Night, and Bluegrass in the Barn, there is something for everyone.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIFIC COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS WE NEED TO BE AWARE OF?
Yes, during this time capacity is limited. While it’s less likely they will be at capacity during the week, I’d recommend watching their Instagram account closely if you are visiting on Saturday or Sunday as they often reach guest capacity but post updates there frequently.
Whether your a wine enthusiast or just looking for a little weekend adventure, Arrington Vineyards is a great little escape not too far from home. Pack your picnic essentials and get ready for some fun!
